Mary Gertrude Larkin

Peacefully at the Souris Hospital on Friday, February 23, 2007 of Mary Gertrude Larkin (nee MacKinnon) of Farmington aged 74 years, surrounded by her loving Family was embraced in the arms of Jesus.

Gertie leaves to mourn her loving husband of 56 years Desmond, her children Kevin (Eleanor) of Farmington, Wayne of Charlottetown, Linda Savoie of Rollo Bay, Kate (Andrew) O'Hanley of Souris, Wanda (Wayne) Johnston of East Royalty, Larry (Mary Lee) of Souris, Edith (Stephen Pate) Larkin of Charlottetown, Audrey Llewellyn of Montague and Darin (Thelma) of Farmington. Grammie will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by 26 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn is brother Louis (Bunnie) MacKinnon of St Peters, Sisters-in-law Catherine MacKinnon of St Peters, Gwen Cameron of New Glasgow, NS, Eileen (Paul) Kingsbury of Elmira, New York, Mary Larkin of Charlottetown, brother-in-law Wencil (Anne) Larkin of Boston, Mass. and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Florence MacKinnon, infant daughter Sandra, brother Ernie, son-in-law Gerald Savoie, brothers-in-law A.J. and Paul Larkin and sister-in-law Muriel Larkin.

Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home Souris with visiting hours on Monday, February 26, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral to be held Tuesday morning from St Charles Roman Catholic Church with funeral mass to be celebrated at 10:00 am. Internment in the St Peters Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, If so desired donations to the Q.E.H. Oncology Unit or the Palliative Care Unit of the Souris Hospital would be appreciated.
